Toby Sheldon, the 35-year-old reality star who said he spent more than $100,000 to look like Justin Bieber, died from "multiple drug intoxication," the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner's office said Monday.
Sheldon, whose real name was Tobias Strebel, was found dead on Aug. 21, 2015, at a Motel 6 on Roscoe Boulevard in North Hills.
According to the autopsy report obtained by the Southern California News Group, several different drugs were found in Sheldon's system, including oxycodone, hydrocodone, morphine and Diazepam (Valium), as well as the sleep aids Temazepam, Xanax and alcohol.
The report goes on to say Sheldon's decomposed body was located on a motel room bed. There were no signs of trauma or foul play, a Los Angeles Police Department investigation determined.
Investigators found bottles marked "Vitamin C" on a desk in the room. Instead of vitamins, the bottles contained various medications, the report said.
Syringes were also located and a bottle of insulin was found on the floor, the report said.
Sheldon, an aspiring singer from Germany, was featured on the E! plastic surgery reality series "Botched" in 2014.
During an appearance on the show, he explained that he idolized Bieber and altered his appearance to resemble the singing sensation.
"What brought me to Bieber was the whole package: the full cheeks, the full temples, the bright open eyes, the full luscious lips and spatial framing ... (he's) just extraordinarily beautiful," Sheldon said.
