They say distance makes the heart grow fonder — and Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez seem to be taking that adage to heart.
In the days since the young couple reportedly broke up, Jelena haven't shied away from the public eye, hitting up various events separately. On Tuesday evening, Bieber was even snapped getting pulled over by the cops in L.A. in between stops on his Believe Tour, while Gomez was helping Ryan Seacrest's Ryan Foundation in Dallas on Wednesday.

With every move the twosome make on their own, fans have been wondering one thing: Will they ever get back together? There seem to be mixed feelings about a possible reunion, with supporters taking to social media and MTV News' website to weigh in on the alleged split and a possible reconciliation.
Pro-Reunion
For any fan on the fence about a reunion, a number of Beliebers and Selenators have made cases for the twosome to rekindle their flame — but with warning. "Dear Selena, If you and Justin are back together, please take care of him," @thebieberswagg wrote. "We don't like seeing our baby hurt. Sincerely, Beliebers."
"I kinda liked Justin and Selena together," @morrisonlane shared. "Also I like the color of red lipstick she always chooses to wear." @yenn_soh added, "just found out that justin beiber and selena broke up.. sadnesssss."
On MTVNews.com, several fans have simply pleaded for the pop power couple to try and make it work again. "just get back together but take ur time," reader Sapphire wrote, while Malesha hoped, "it is ok yall maybe get back together."
Anti-Reunion
Of course, as much as some fans would be into Jelena 2.0, others note that given how young they are (Bieber is 18 and Selena 20), a split was inevitable.
"This is sooo stupid haha I love that they broke up," Trey wrote on our site. "I was actually recently saying that they wouldn't last forever and it would prob end soon. They're young who cares! I also wouldn't consider them the 'golden couple'. Definitely not...also it's funny how when they first got together Bieber fans were threatening Selena and now they're all sad."
And the lack of condolences didn't end there. "Justin: Selena calls me up and she's like 'i still love you' and I'm like 'this is not swaggy, we're never getting back together like ever,' " @UniteOfBieber teased, referring to Taylor Swift's breakup track "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."
Bieber had been hanging out with Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin around the time the breakup was reported, prompting many rumors, and this @justintheslayer tweet: "wouldnt it be HILAR if justin gives selena her stuff back in a victoria's secret shopping bag."
@jelenayjustin further added, "Justin is trying to win Selena back, but he will have to change his ways if he wants her."
In the end, some fans, like @taytaybraden10, just had this to say: "I'm thankful Selena Gomez broke up with JustinBieber."
